National Military Appreciation Month

May 1, 2023

May is National Military Appreciation Month.  This is a time to honor and thank the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces.  Throughout this month, events and activities will take place across the nation to recognize the sacrifices and dedication of our military service members and their families.

To those currently serving and to our veterans and their families, National Military Appreciation Month is an opportunity to express our gratitude and support.  This is a time to recognize the sacrifices made by those who have served and to honor their commitment to our country.

Many of Calvert’s employees are military veterans and many of them supported the 55th Wing at Offutt AFB.  Recognizing these contributions, Calvert made a platinum level donation to the 55th Wing Association in support of the annual anniversary event on April 15th that raises money for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation.  Many Calvert employees were in attendance at the anniversary event.  Calvert’s Chairman and 55th Wing Association President, Joe Spivey, and an active-duty service member served as emcees for the event.

Calvert employs a large number of military veterans across different departments and roles.  Calvert values the skills and experiences veterans bring to the workplace and actively seeks to hire and retain them.  As we celebrate National Military Appreciation Month, please remember the sacrifices made by those who have served our great country. Let’s honor their dedication and commitment to our nation and show our appreciation for their service. As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, we thank you!
